Open For Business
We’d started hanging out again the year before, and discovered we each had the same camera. Same lenses. and one purpose for buying them – to photograph our 2000 mustangs. (Yeah, we each had 1). I’d love to sit here & say that being a photographer was my childhood dream, but it wasn’t. I’d even like to say it started while working in a photo lab. I wanted to be an interior designer. Then a lawyer. Then I sat there in graphic design class listening to my teacher talk about portraits, and something just clicked. I decided I liked capturing emotion more so than still objects. Justin decided to go on this crazy journey with me. What started as a fun way to get great photos of our cars, turned into something we never could have imagined.
When We’re Not Behind the Camera…
…we’re probably vacuuming the living room. I’m not sure how our 85lb German Shepherd has any hair left. What spare time we have after that, is usually spent behind the wheel of a car – driving to a car show or flying down the race track at 130+ mph in one of our mustangs. I’ll find any reason to have a cupcake, and I rank the local bakeries based on their red velvet flavor. Can you believe there’s actually a place in town that does not use cream cheese icing!? Justin will watch any and every movie out there, because he’s afraid one day he’ll be asked a million dollar question pertaining to movies, and he won’t know the answer. Chipotle vs. Freebirds is a never ending battle in this house, so we’re forced to compromise with Bullritos.
And Then There Were Three…
Mikayla was born in June at 8lbs 6oz & 21 inches long. Life obviously hasn’t been the same since, and we’re totally screwed when she figures out how cute she is.
